2 Corinthians 3:7
The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 7 says:
But if the ministration of death, written, [and] engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which [glory] was passing away:
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 7
In 2 Corinthians 3:7, Paul is comparing the ministration of the law written on stones with the ministration of the Spirit of the New Covenant. The glory of the law, which was written on stones, was so great that the Israelites could not look directly at Moses’ face because of its brilliance. However, this glory was temporary, and it was replaced with the much greater glory of the Spirit of the New Covenant. Paul is emphasizing the superiority of the New Covenant to the old law by pointing out the temporary nature of its glory.
