2 Corinthians 3:1
The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 1 says:
Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you?
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 1
In 2 Corinthians 3:1, Paul questions whether the Corinthians need to give him a letter of recommendation or whether they need one from him. He’s asking if they need to go back to trying to prove themselves to one another, or if the Corinthians understand that Paul has been approved by God and his ministry is approved by Him. Paul is saying that he doesn’t need to prove himself to the Corinthians because he has the Lord’s approval and the Lord’s stamp of approval on his ministry. He is also saying that the Corinthians should not need a letter of recommendation from Paul because they should trust that he is a legitimate apostle and messenger of the Lord.
