2 Corinthians 12:7
The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 12 Verse 7 says:
And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 12 Verse 7
In 2 Corinthians 12:7, the Apostle Paul is speaking of his experiences with God, in particular, a series of visions and revelations he has been given. To prevent him from becoming too proud, God has given him a “thorn in the flesh,” a messenger of Satan to harass him and prevent him from becoming too proud. Despite Paul’s requests, God refuses to take away the thorn and instead tells him that His grace is sufficient for him, and that His power is made perfect in weakness. Paul concludes that, in order to find strength in his weakness, he must rely on God’s grace.
