Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 11 Verse 5
In 2 Corinthians 11:5, the apostle Paul is expressing his insecurities about the Corinthian church’s acceptance of his apostleship. He believes that he is not inferior to any of the other apostles and that he is just as qualified to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is trying to prove his worth to the Corinthians, who were questioning his apostolic authority, by claiming that he is just as capable as the most prominent of the apostles. He is emphasizing his commitment to the gospel and his dedication to the work of spreading the Good News. Ultimately he is trying to show the church that he is worthy of their respect and support.
