2 Corinthians 1:5
The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 1 Verse 5 says:
For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 1 Verse 5
2 Corinthians 1:5 is a reminder of how suffering can lead to greater comfort and joy. Paul is reminding the Corinthians that Christ’s suffering, though great, brings us comfort, and that in the midst of our own suffering, we too can experience comfort and joy. Paul also implies that Christ’s suffering is greater than our own, and that in comparison, our own suffering is light. This is a reminder to the Corinthians to be thankful for the comfort that Christ brings and to never forget the sacrifice He made, that they may experience joy in the midst of their own hardships.
