2 Corinthians 1:22

who also sealed us, and gave [us] the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 1 Verse 22
2 Corinthians 1:22 is a verse from the New Testament of the Bible. In it, Paul is talking about how God has sealed believers of Christ with His Spirit, as a sign of His promise to them. He has given them the “earnest of the Spirit” so that they can have assurance that He will fulfill His promises to them. The Spirit works in their hearts, as a reminder and a seal of the covenant God has made with them. This is a strong assurance that God will never abandon them, and will always be with them.
