1 Timothy 1:20

The Bible in 1 Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 20 says:

of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered unto Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.

Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 20

In 1 Timothy 1:20, Paul is referring to two individuals, Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom he had turned over to Satan in order to teach them a lesson about not blaspheming. Paul had previously warned them about the consequences of their actions, but the two men had continued to blaspheme God and His name. Therefore, Paul felt it necessary to take further action and deliver them to Satan, so that they would learn to not blaspheme God any longer. By doing so, Paul was demonstrating his commitment to protecting and upholding the name of God.
