1 Timothy 1:16
The Bible in 1 Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 16 says:
howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.
Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 16
In 1 Timothy 1:16, Paul is reflecting on his own experience of encountering Jesus and how it has enabled him to be a living example of mercy, longsuffering, and faith unto eternal life. Through Paul’s experience, he has been able to illustrate that Jesus is a source of mercy and that those who believe in Him can receive the same mercy and be saved from eternal death. Paul ultimately emphasizes the importance of believing in Jesus and that He is a source of hope and salvation.
