1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 6

1 Thessalonians 2:6

The Bible in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 6 says:

nor seeking glory of men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.

Interpretation of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 6

In 1 Thessalonians 2:6, Paul stresses that he and his companions did not seek glory from the Thessalonians or from anyone else, even though they had the authority of being Apostles of Christ. Instead, they were gentle among the Thessalonians, treating them as parents would their own children and showing them great love and care. Paul continues to emphasize that they were eager to share not only the message of the gospel with them but also to share their own lives. Therefore, Paul and his companions did not seek glory from men, but rather sought to bring glory to God.
