1 Thessalonians 2:4
The Bible in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 4 says:
but even as we have been approved of God to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who proveth our hearts.
Interpretation of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 4
In 1 Thessalonians 2:4, the apostle Paul is emphasizing the importance of speaking the gospel truthfully and without any self-serving ulterior motives. He states that even though God has granted them the privilege of spreading the gospel, they must not tailor their words to please people, but rather, they must speak the truth as God has revealed it and as God tests their hearts. Paul is encouraging the Thessalonians to be faithful and honest in their proclamation of the gospel, and not to be swayed by the desires of people.
