Because it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.

Interpretation of 1 Peter Chapter 2 Verse 6

In 1 Peter 2:6, Peter encourages his readers to trust in Jesus Christ, who is described as a “chief corner stone” and “elect, precious.” Peter assures his readers that anyone who believes in Jesus will not be ashamed. This assurance is based on what is written in the scripture which says “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.” This verse is a reminder that anyone who puts their trust in Jesus will be saved and will not be disappointed.
