1 John 2:7
The Bible in 1 John Chapter 2 Verse 7 says:
Beloved, no new commandment write I unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning: the old commandment is the word which ye heard.
Interpretation of 1 John Chapter 2 Verse 7
In 1 John 2:7, the author is reminding his readers that he is not introducing a new commandment, but rather an old commandment which has been with them from the beginning. He is referring to the Word of God which they heard, and is reminding them that they already have the instruction they need to live a life pleasing to God. He is encouraging them to stay true to the teachings of God, which they have already heard, and by doing so, they will remain in the love of God.
