1 John 2:22
The Bible in 1 John Chapter 2 Verse 22 says:
Who is the liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, [even] he that denieth the Father and the Son.
Interpretation of 1 John Chapter 2 Verse 22
In 1 John 2:22, the Apostle John is addressing the false teachings that were circulating among the early Christians. He states that anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ – or Messiah – is a liar, and is in fact the antichrist. John further states that this antichrist denies the Father and the Son, which refers to the doctrine of the Trinity. In essence, John is warning the early Christians not to be swayed by any false teachings and to remain steadfast in their belief in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
