Interpretation of 1 John Chapter 2 Verse 1
In 1 John 2:1, John writes to his readers, whom he calls his “little children,” to encourage them to live a life free from sin. He reminds them that if they do sin, they have an Advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ the Righteous—who will intercede on their behalf and restore them to a right relationship with God. John’s message is one of hope and assurance that, regardless of our mistakes, Jesus will always be there to offer us forgiveness and grace.
