2 Kings 11:20
The Bible in 2 Kings Chapter 11 Verse 20 says:
So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. And Athaliah they had slain with the sword at the king’s house.
Interpretation of 2 Kings Chapter 11 Verse 20
In 2 Kings 11:20, a great rejoicing is described amongst the people of the land when it is announced that the wicked Queen Athaliah had been slain with the sword in the king’s house. All the people of the land were glad and the city was quiet. This marked an end to Athaliah’s wicked reign that had begun seven years earlier. The people had been living in fear and oppression, but with her death, they could now live in freedom and joy.
