Interpretation of 2 Peter Chapter 3 Verse 6
In 2 Peter 3:6, the Bible speaks of a time in history when the world was destroyed by water. This is a reference to the Great Flood described in the book of Genesis. God sent a deluge of water to cleanse the world of its wickedness and restore it. This event is a reminder that the Lord God is powerful and will not tolerate wickedness. He will take action against it, no matter how drastic, in order to bring about justice and righteousness. This verse also serves as a warning to those who continue to live in unrighteousness, that God will judge them and they will suffer the same fate as the world of old.
