Interpretation of 2 Peter Chapter 2 Verse 12
In 2 Peter 2:12, Peter is warning against false teachers who lead people astray with lies and false promises. He compares them to “creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed,” meaning that they are devoid of any knowledge and are doomed to destruction. He goes on to say that they rail in matters that they are ignorant of, meaning that they make claims that they have no real knowledge of, and will be destroyed in their own ignorance.
