Interpretation of 2 Peter Chapter 2 Verse 4
In 2 Peter 2:4, the Apostle Peter is reminding his readers of God’s justice and power. He is saying that if God did not show mercy to the angels who sinned, but instead cast them down to hell and imprisoned them in the pits of darkness awaiting judgment, then surely He will not be lenient with any of us who do wrong. This is a warning for us to take God’s commands seriously and to strive to live a life of holiness and obedience.
