2 Peter 1:18
The Bible in 2 Peter Chapter 1 Verse 18 says:
and this voice we [ourselves] heard borne out of heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount.
Interpretation of 2 Peter Chapter 1 Verse 18
2 Peter 1:18 is a reference to the Transfiguration of Jesus. On the mount of Transfiguration, Peter, James, and John witnessed Jesus’ divine glory. They heard a powerful voice from heaven declaring: “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” This experience was a confirmation that Jesus was God’s chosen one, and it gave the disciples the assurance of Jesus’ deity. This verse serves as a reminder to all believers that the words of Jesus are to be heard and obeyed.
