1 Peter 5:3
The Bible in 1 Peter Chapter 5 Verse 3 says:
neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock.
Interpretation of 1 Peter Chapter 5 Verse 3
In 1 Peter 5:3, the apostle Peter encourages Christian leaders to serve as examples to the flock by leading with humility instead of lording it over their charge. He instructs them to lead with a humble attitude, gentleness, patience and love. He also cautions against pride and arrogance, which will result in an ineffective leadership. By leading with humility, the leaders can be an example for the rest of the flock to follow.
