The Bible in 1 Peter Chapter 4 Verse 1 says:
Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
Interpretation of 1 Peter Chapter 4 Verse 1
In 1 Peter 4:1, the apostle Peter encourages Christians to arm themselves with a mindset of self-sacrifice and suffering, much like Christ suffered in the flesh. He argues that those who have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin, and as followers of Jesus, we should strive to follow His example of sacrifice and suffering. This verse serves as a call to Christians to put aside their own wants and desires and to instead focus on serving others and showing love.
