James 2:23
The Bible in James Chapter 2 Verse 23 says:
and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.
Interpretation of James Chapter 2 Verse 23
James 2:23 is referring to the story of Abraham in Genesis 15, when God told Abraham he would have many descendants and that his name would be great. Abraham believed God’s promise and this faith was counted to him as righteousness. As a result of his faith, Abraham was called the friend of God. This verse is a reminder that faith in God and trust in His promises will be rewarded.
