James 2:19
The Bible in James Chapter 2 Verse 19 says:
Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder.
Interpretation of James Chapter 2 Verse 19
James 2:19 is a warning against intellectual assent to the Christian faith without true faith in action. It warns that it is not enough to simply believe in the existence of God; one must also live accordingly. The verse implies that even the demons, who know of the existence of God, still tremble in fear because of their lack of true faith. The verse encourages believers to live a life of faith and obedience, rather than simply believing intellectually in the existence of God.
