Hebrews 13:17
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 13 Verse 17 says:
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit [to them]: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this [were] unprofitable for you.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 13 Verse 17
This verse is encouraging us to be obedient and respectful to those who are in authority over us, knowing that they are doing so for our own benefit. They watch over us and will be held responsible for our souls, so it is important that they do their work with joy and not with grief, as it would not be beneficial for us.
