Hebrews 12:20
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 20 says:
for they could not endure that which was enjoined, If even a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned;
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 20
Hebrews 12:20 speaks of the Israelites’ inability to fully obey the commandment given to them by God on Mount Sinai. God commanded that anyone, even animals, who touched the mountain would be stoned. The Israelites were so frightened by the display of God’s power that they could not obey the commandment. However, the passage goes on to say that God’s way is perfect and that He will not allow His people to be tempted beyond what they can bear.
