Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 29
In Hebrews 11:29, the author is referring to the Israelites who had been enslaved by the Egyptians. By faith, they were led by Moses and the Lord and were able to pass through the Red Sea as if it were dry land. The Egyptians, who were trying to pursue the Israelites, were swallowed up in the waters when the Lord allowed the waters to return. This event was a demonstration of the Lord’s power and a testament to the faith of the Israelites.
