Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 26

Hebrews 9:26

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 26 says:

else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 26

Hebrews 9:26 states that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested once at the end of the ages in order to put away sin by sacrificing Himself. Through this one sacrifice, Jesus has taken away the sins of the world, and thus has only needed to suffer once since the foundation of the world. This sacrifice is able to redeem mankind from the penalty of sin and restore them to a right relationship with God.
