Hebrews 9:24

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 24 says:

For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 24

In Hebrews 9:24, the author is explaining the superiority of Jesus’ sacrifice over the Old Testament sacrifices. In the Old Testament, the high priest would enter the holy place made with hands, a physical structure, to offer a blood sacrifice on behalf of the people. But in Jesus’ case, he entered into heaven itself to appear before the face of God and offer himself as the perfect and once-for-all sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Jesus’ sacrifice was not merely a pattern or a symbol, but a real and effective atonement for sin.
