For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein [were] the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 2
Hebrews 9:2 speaks of the tabernacle, or a sacred space, as described in the Old Testament. This tabernacle was the first of its kind, and it was the home of the candlestick, the table of showbread, and the altar of incense, which all served a sacred purpose. The tabernacle was a place of worship and was considered to be the holiest of places. The tabernacle served to remind the Israelites of their covenant with God, and it was a tangible reminder of His presence among them. The tabernacle was a physical manifestation of God’s presence in the world.
