Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 28

Hebrews 7:28

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 28 says:

For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, [appointeth] a Son, perfected for evermore.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 28

Hebrews 7:28 is referring to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and His perfect, eternal priesthood. The law of Moses appointed men, who were sinners and had weaknesses, to serve as high priests. However, the Word of the oath, which was established after the law, appointed Jesus as the perfect, eternal High Priest. His priesthood is perfect because He is without sin and does not have any weaknesses. He is eternally perfect and cannot be replaced.
