Hebrews 7:13
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 13 says:
For he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which no man hath given attendance at the altar.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 13
The writer of Hebrews is making a comparison between Jesus and the Old Testament high priests. He is saying that Jesus, who is from the tribe of Judah, is superior to the Old Testament high priests, who were from the tribe of Levi. Jesus’ superiority is because no one from the tribe of Judah has ever served at the altar or been a priest like the Levites. This shows that Jesus is a greater priest than those of the Old Testament.
