Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 8

Hebrews 6:8

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 8 says:

but if it beareth thorns and thistles, it is rejected and nigh unto a curse; whose end is to be burned.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 8

Hebrews 6:8 is speaking about the results of an unproductive field. The field is a metaphor for a person who has not been productive or useful in the life of God’s people. It is saying that if a field (person) only produces thorns and thistles, it is rejected and is close to being cursed. The field will ultimately be burned and the person will not receive any benefit from it. The verse is warning us to be productive with our lives and not to waste our time on things that will not bring us any benefit.
