Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 6

Hebrews 6:6

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 6 says:

and [then] fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 6

Hebrews 6:6 is warning us that once we have tasted and experienced the spiritual benefits of turning to God, it is impossible to go back to a life of unbelief and sin. If we do return to a life of sin and unbelief, we are essentially crucifying Jesus anew, putting Him to an open shame and rejecting the salvation that He offers. The author of Hebrews is telling us that once we have fully tasted and experienced the goodness of God, turning away from Him and rejecting Him is disastrous.
