Hebrews 5:3
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 3 says:
and by reason thereof is bound, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 3
Hebrews 5:3 explains how Jesus Christ, as the High Priest of God, is appointed to serve as a mediator between God and humanity. He is bound to offer sacrifices for the sins of the people, as well as for his own. In other words, Jesus is the one who takes away the sins of mankind through his perfect sacrifice on the cross. As the perfect High Priest, Jesus is able to sympathize with our weaknesses, having experienced the same temptations as us (Hebrews 4:15). He voluntarily made himself an offering for sin (Hebrews 7:27) so that we may be forgiven and have eternal life.
