Hebrews 3:9
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 3 Verse 9 says:
Where your fathers tried [me] by proving [me,] And saw my works forty years.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 3 Verse 9
Hebrews 3:9 is part of a warning to the Israelites not to be like their fathers, who had tested God and seen his wonders for forty years in the wilderness. The writer reminds them that God was faithful to them despite their lack of faith and disobedience. He urges them to be faithful to God and to trust in him, so that they will not be hardened by sin. He also warns them that if they continue to reject God and do evil, they will suffer the consequences. Therefore, the author encourages them to remain strong in their faith and trust in the Lord.
