Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 6 Verse 4
1 Timothy 6:4 is a warning from Paul to the church in Ephesus against false teachers. He describes these teachers as being “puffed up” and “knowing nothing”, yet engaging in quarrelsome debates about words and ideas that lead to envy, strife, harsh words, and suspicion. Paul encourages the church to stay away from these teachers and to instead focus on the essentials of the Christian faith: love, faith, and hope.
