I charge [thee] in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 5 Verse 21
In 1 Timothy 5:21, the Apostle Paul charges Timothy to be impartial in his actions and judgments, and to not show partiality to anyone. He emphasizes this instruction by appealing to God, Jesus Christ, and the elect angels as witnesses of his words. Paul’s intention is for Timothy to be just and fair in all that he does, and to remember that God, Jesus, and the angels are watching him.
