Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 4 Verse 2
1 Timothy 4:2 is a warning from the Apostle Paul to Timothy to be aware of false teachers and to not be influenced by them. He tells Timothy that these teachers are hypocrites who speak lies and that their own conscience testifies against them. Paul says that these lies are branded into their conscience like a hot iron and that they are to be avoided. The warning is clear: Timothy should not be swayed by the false teaching of these hypocrites, as they will ultimately be judged and condemned by God.
