1 Timothy 3:10
The Bible in 1 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 10 says:
And let these also first be proved; then let them serve as deacons, if they be blameless.
Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 10
1 Timothy 3:10 is part of Paul’s instructions to Timothy about the qualifications for deacons in the church. Paul is saying that before any man can be appointed to the office of deacon, he must first be tested and proved to be blameless. He must meet the standards of faithfulness, integrity and good character that Paul has outlined earlier in the letter. If the man is found to be blameless, then he is qualified to serve as a deacon.
