1 Timothy 3:6
The Bible in 1 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 6 says:
not a novice, lest being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
Interpretation of 1 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 6
In 1 Timothy 3:6, Paul is warning Timothy against appointing a novice (someone new to the faith) to a position of leadership in the church. He warns that if a novice is appointed, they may become “puffed up” with pride and thus be subjected to the same condemnation as the Devil. This warning serves as a reminder to exercise caution when selecting leaders, particularly those who are new to the faith, as they can be susceptible to pride and the temptations of the Devil.
