1 Thessalonians 2:2

The Bible in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 2 says:

but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we waxed bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God in much conflict.

Interpretation of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 2

In this passage, Paul is recounting how he and his companions had been mistreated in the city of Philippi, yet despite this they were still able to speak the gospel of God with courage, even in the face of great opposition. He is making it clear that, no matter what happens, they will remain faithful to their mission and continue to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
