Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 23

Colossians 2:23

The Bible in Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 23 says:

Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; [but are] not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 23

Colossians 2:23 warns against the worship of false gods, which may involve practices that appear wise and spiritually beneficial to the worshipper, such as humility and self-denial. These outward displays of devotion, however, are of no value when it comes to resisting the temptations of the flesh. The verse reminds us that only through obedience to God and reliance on His strength can we overcome sin in our lives.
