Colossians 2:20
The Bible in Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 20 says:
If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,
Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 20
Colossians 2:20 is a reminder to Christians to not become entangled in the legalistic rules and regulations of the world. The verse is reminding Christians that when we accepted Jesus and accepted His death, we died to the world and all its rules and regulations. Therefore, we are no longer subject to them and should not act as if we are still living in the world. The verse is a reminder to focus on living a life of faith in Jesus, instead of being caught up in the legalistic rules of the world.
