Interpretation of Ephesians Chapter 6 Verse 4
In Ephesians 6:4, the Apostle Paul is speaking to fathers and encouraging them to bring up their children in the Lord. He urges fathers not to provoke their children in a way that would lead them to anger or resentment, but rather to nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Paul encourages fathers to show their children love and affection and to be patient and gentle when disciplining them. He also encourages them to teach their children the ways of the Lord and to lead them in a godly lifestyle. Fathers are given the responsibility of raising their children in the Lord and helping them to grow in faith and maturity.
