The Bible in Ephesians Chapter 4 Verse 30 says:
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
Interpretation of Ephesians Chapter 4 Verse 30
Ephesians 4:30 is reminding believers not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God by living in a way that is contrary to God’s will. The Spirit of God has sealed believers unto the day of redemption, and so they should be thankful for the grace and mercy that God has shown them. Believers should be careful to not do things that would grieve the Spirit, such as living in anger, bitterness, malice, or unforgiveness. Instead, believers should strive to be kind and forgiving, and to live in a way that honors God.
