Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 5 Verse 16
Galatians 5:16 is a reminder to believers that they should not be controlled by the desires of their physical body, but instead, they should be guided by the Holy Spirit. Paul encourages the Galatians to “walk by the Spirit”, meaning to live according to the will of the Spirit, so that they may be freed from the bondage of the “lust of the flesh”. This verse is a warning to all believers that if they give in to their earthly desires, they will not be living a life that is pleasing to God. Paul reminds the Galatians that it is only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit that they can be freed from the temptations and desires of the flesh.
