Galatians Chapter 4 Verse 9

Galatians 4:9

The Bible in Galatians Chapter 4 Verse 9 says:

but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?

Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 4 Verse 9

In Galatians 4:9, Paul is asking the believers in Galatia why they are turning away from the freedom they have found in Christ and returning to the weak and beggarly elements of their old way of life. He is reminding them that they have been brought into a special relationship with God, in which He knows them and they can know Him. To go back to their old ways would mean going back to a place of bondage and being subject to the rudiments of the law. Paul is urging them to stay in the freedom they have found in Jesus.
