Galatians Chapter 3 Verse 5

Galatians 3:5

The Bible in Galatians Chapter 3 Verse 5 says:

He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 3 Verse 5

In Galatians 3:5, Paul is asking the Galatian Christians a question – is the Spirit that is working miracles among them, doing so through their obedience to the Law or through faith in Jesus? Paul is making it clear that the Spirit is working miracles in the lives of believers, through faith, not through their works of obedience to the Law. He is emphasizing the importance of faith in Jesus Christ over obedience to the Law, in order to receive the blessings of the Spirit. Paul is reminding the Galatians that if they want to experience the power of the Spirit, they must have faith in Jesus and rely on His grace.
