The Bible in Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 10 says:
only [they would] that we should remember the poor; which very thing I was also zealous to do.
Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 10
In Galatians 2:10, Paul is speaking to the church in Jerusalem, which had asked him and Barnabas to remember and support the poor in the church. Paul affirms that he is also zealous to do this very thing. He encourages them to remember the poor, and to be generous in helping them. This is a reminder to the church that they must always be mindful of those in need and be generous in their giving. This passage is a reminder to us today that we should always be generous in our giving and mindful of the needs of those around us.
