Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 6
In Galatians 2:6, Paul is emphasizing the importance of faith, not of one’s reputation or rank. He states that when he was preaching the gospel, he received help from those who were thought of highly, but were actually of no importance to him. He emphasizes that it does not matter to him who is helping him spread the gospel, as long as God accepts them. Paul also implies that those who were highly regarded did not give him anything of substance. He emphasizes how faith is a much more important factor than reputation.
